American Jewish Society for Service Make a difference this summer. Build low-income houses, live with other Jewish teenagers and explore a new corner of the U.S. in this six-week summer camp work project.
American Jewish World Service Participants work for seven weeks with an AJWS partner organization in a rural area in the developing world. Projects require intense physical labor (approximately seven hours a day, five days a week). Structured discussions occur at least four times a week, and opportunities abound for cross-cultural exchange and community building within the group.
Berkshire Institute for Music and Art (BIMA) BIMA is a summer arts program for Jewish teenagers. Located at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, BIMA brings talented teens together for four weeks in the summer to cultivate a vibrant, pluralistic environment brimming with artistic discovery and Jewish experiences. A BIMA summer experience allows you to hone your artistic skills, live and discover in a diverse Jewish community, and explore who you are as an artist. Major areas include: Music, visual arts, writing and theater. Community Service Summer Experience (Sid Jacobson JCC, Long Island) Community Service Summer Experience (CSE) is the JCC's four or six week community service summer program. The summer combines exciting environmental and social service oriented volunteer projects, adventure, recreation and tons of fun!
Drisha Institute for Jewish Education (Girls only) Every summer, high school students from around the world spend five memorable weeks together, building their knowledge and their friendships at Drisha Institute in New York City. It provides young women with an opportunity to immerse in the study of classical Jewish texts, including Tanakh, Talmud, Halakha and Philosophy.
Etgar 36 Etgar 36 is a cross-country summer journey in which you experience the sites, sounds, culture, food, and people of each city. NFTY Mitzvah Corps Days are spent volunteering at sites such as food banks, transition shelters for abused women, and senior citizen homes. Evenings and weekends are dedicated to different Jewish educational programming and group service projects, sightseeing, traveling and social programming.
Operation Shema (BBYO) Do you want to make a difference in the world? Based in dynamic urban Baltimore, Operation Shema (formerly known as Nitzotz) is your opportunity to “give back” in a meaningful way, while living as a community with your peers on a college campus and participating in exciting cultural and enrichment activities. Samberg Family History Program (Center for Jewish History) Students are chosen for a unique month-long summer fellowship that is focused on personal genealogy in its historical context. Participants use verious research methods to investigate their family roots while exploring the Jewish experience.
SummerArts at the Jewish Museum SummerArts is a four-week in-depth studio experience that enables high school students to deepen their artistic knowledge and skills.
